Residents discovered prostitution, Colombian woman was deceiving girls with employment in Tirana

The frequent and suspicious entrances and exits of the 44 Colombian girls investigated for practicing prostitution in Tirana, as well as their clients, caused the residents of the apartment complex where they rented apartments on Airbnb to complain to the Tirana Police. A2 CNN reports that the organizer of this activity, Gabriela Martinez, continues to be wanted by the police along with 2 other people. While of the 11 arrest warrants that were issued in total, only 8 of them were executed on Friday. But how did the scheme she created work? Investigators discovered, thanks to 5 months of investigations, that the 47-year-old Colombian had a travel agency in the country where she lived and through fraud recruited girls aged 18 to 35 to bring them to Albania for employment. After investing in them with plastic surgeries, she demanded that the amount of up to 4 thousand euros be returned to her.

Some of the Colombian girls, A2 CNN reports, registered on online luxury escort sites, where they also had clients. The payments they made ranged from 200 to 250 euros. The money the girls earned was given to the 47-year-old, and once the debt was repaid, the remaining amounts earned were divided between them. Gabriela Martinez ran the criminal activity of prostitution exploitation from Colombia and in our country had established contacts with trustworthy people, who waited for the girls and created suitable conditions for them, as well as sent the money to the 47-year-old, in some cases even via Bitcoin.

Investigations revealed that in 2023, Gabriela Martinez had come to our country and met with taxi driver Esmerald Sulollari. After he was arrested, conversations between them were found on his cell phone.

Also involved in this activity was a crime officer from police station number 4. Anisa Brahaj assured the 47-year-old that there would be no checks in the premises where prostitution was practiced, and even if any of the girls were accompanied to the police, they would intervene to release them.
