Flodian Plaku, accused of the murder of Gentjan Bejtja last year in Larushk, Fushë Krujë, will remain in prison until the investigation is completed. Considered a person of high social risk, the 42-year-old from Vlora was ordered to be arrested in prison by the Tirana Court.
The hearing was held behind closed doors and lasted about 30 minutes. Known by the nickname "Blind Pole", the 42-year-old appeared at the hearing without a lawyer of his own choosing, with one being assigned to him primarily by the court.
Flodian Plaku denied the murder charge, stating that 10 days before Bejtja's execution he had used a Golf-type vehicle and with this claim stated that the police were accusing him of being the perpetrator of the crime that occurred on March 15, 2024 in Fushë-Krujë, while Bejtja was in the yard of his apartment.
The 42-year-old, also known by two other identities and with the surnames Serjani and Mamo, was arrested by operational forces while having lunch at a hotel in Orikum. A weapon and a sum of 25 thousand euros were found on him.
The police arrested 4 other people with him, accused of supporting the perpetrator of the crime, and seized 7 mobile phones. (A2 Televizion)
