Gjirokastra police have arrested a 55-year-old man from the village of Lazarat after he was caught red-handed cultivating narcotic plants in the yard of his apartment.
The operation was carried out as part of increased drone controls, within the framework of the "Coordination" operational plan, which aims to prevent and crack down on cannabis cultivation in the territory, writes A2 CNN.
The arrested citizen is Xh. Ç., 55 years old, who is suspected of having planted several narcotic plants of the Cannabis Sativa type on his private property.
During the search, the police seized a small amount of plants as material evidence, while the rest was destroyed by burning at the scene. (A2 Televizion)
