The Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda, has ordered the suspension of two traffic police officers from duty, following the publication of footage where one of them is suspected of accepting money from a citizen during a vehicle documentation check.
“The Director of the Tirana Local Police Directorate has just been informed of a video published on the official website of the investigative show, in which a police patrol appears, where one of the employees is suspected of having accepted a banknote from a citizen during the control of the vehicle's documentation, and has immediately ordered the suspension from duty of two Police employees, specifically Inspector M. T. and Inspector Sh. M., who are officers of the General Patrol at Police Station No. 5. ”
In relation to the case, Proda has ordered the Directorate of Professional Standards to initiate disciplinary proceedings against Police employees for serious violations.
Meanwhile, the Police Supervision Agency has been notified of the case and has initiated investigative actions.
