The Special Operations Force has successfully finalized the operation codenamed "Operation 44", arresting a citizen internationally wanted for drug trafficking and participation in a criminal organization.
In the framework of close cooperation with Italian authorities, through Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome, 47-year-old Majlinda Avduli, also known as Dajana Tafani, was located and arrested in the city of Elbasan.
This citizen was declared internationally wanted by the Italian authorities, after the Court of Appeal in Cagliari sentenced her in 2016 to 9 years, 6 months and 22 days in prison for the criminal offense of "Drug Trafficking", committed within the framework of a criminal organization.
Currently, Interpol Tirana is cooperating with Italian counterparts to finalize her extradition procedures to Italy. (A2 Televizion)
