Police in Cerrik have arrested a 36-year-old man, who is accused of stealing a television and computer from the Democratic Party office in this city.
The case was reported this Friday morning by the secretary of the DP branch, who stated that when she opened the office, she found that 1 computer and 1 television were missing.
"The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Cërrik Police Station, in cooperation with the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office, in the continuation of the work to uncover and legally document the theft that occurred in Cërrik, in the entity rented for electoral purposes, made it possible to identify, capture and arrest the perpetrator of the case, citizen AM, 36 years old, resident of Cërrik," the police announced.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that citizen AM, during midnight, stole 1 computer and 1 television from the premises rented for electoral purposes and sold the stolen computer to the citizen with the initials KZ.
The 46-year-old man who bought the stolen computer has also been arrested by the police, after being accused of the criminal offense of " Appropriation of money or goods derived from a criminal offense or criminal activity ", while the equipment has been seized and handed over to the Democratic Party in Cërrik.
Meanwhile, the perpetrator detained by the police turns out to have been previously convicted of the criminal offenses of "Theft" and "Domestic Violence". (A2 Televizion)
