Chief Commissioner Stiljan Pasho, who was arrested a day ago by the Police Supervision Agency, has been dismissed from the State Police.
The head of the border in Korça is accused of drug trafficking.
The exclusion of Pasho has been proposed to director Muhamet Rrumbullaku by the Directorate of Professional Standards in the State Police, after the preliminary investigations carried out against him.
His dismissal was for a serious disciplinary violation of the State Police regulation. The day before, he was arrested as part of a criminal proceeding referred by the AMP Sector, Korça, for the offense of "Trafficking in narcotics".
From the investigations, it turns out that Chief Commissioner Stiljan Pasho, using the post, has helped a person to cross the border in Kapshtica, without being checked in the vehicle, at different time intervals.
It is suspected that Pasho also ordered his subordinates not to carry out checks. The chief commissioner, as it became known, was sitting in the first place, at the moment when Lorenzo Lika passed the vehicle, which also contained a gas cylinder filled with narcotics, at customs.
The drugs were later found by the Greek authorities, in an apartment in Follorina.
