Tirana Police have seized ammunition and weapons from the apartment of a 64-year-old man in the capital. According to the police, the intervention came after information that a flat on “Pasho Hysa” street was being illegally kept with weapons and other items. In the “Ammunition” operation, 7 gun magazines, 4 cold weapons, 1 revolver, uniforms and a rubber baton as belonging to the Police, as well as a considerable amount of ammunition were seized.
"During the intervention, 7 gun magazines, 4 cold weapons, 1 revolver, uniforms and rubber batons as belonging to the Police, as well as a considerable amount of ammunition, which were possessed without permission by the owner of the apartment, citizen AD, 64 years old, were found in this apartment," the Police announced.
He is charged with the criminal offenses of: "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", "Unauthorized production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons" and "Unauthorized possession of a uniform".
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. (A2 Televizion)
