A serious incident has occurred at the Border Control Point in the Port of Vlora, where a police officer was raped by two people while performing his duty, writes A2 CNN. The incident occurred while a van carrying out connections with Italy and several other European countries was stopped for a detailed check at the second security line.
The two administrators of the van initially verbally opposed the control, insulting and threatening the Border and Migration Police officer. The situation then escalated into physical violence, where the police officer was attacked and suffered injuries to his body and face. He was immediately transported for medical assistance, while the aggressors were escorted to the police station.
Sources from the Vlora Police indicate that arrest measures are expected to be taken against the two detainees, as they are accused of two criminal offenses: "Assault due to duty" and "Opposition of a public order officer."
Investigations continue to clarify all the circumstances of the incident and to determine the legal responsibilities of the perpetrators. The Border Police appeals for respect for the rules and cooperation with the authorities, warning of zero tolerance towards any act of violence against law enforcement officers. (A2 Televizion)
