The Special Prosecution has requested a sentence of 4 years and 6 months in prison for Aurel Zarka, former head of the Vlora Prosecution Office.
According to sources for A2 CNN, if the court decides so, Zarka will ultimately be sentenced to 3 years in prison due to the summary trial.
Aurel Zarka is accused of the criminal offenses of "exercising illegal influence over persons exercising public functions", committed 3 times, in collaboration 2 times, "active corruption of judges, prosecutors and other justice officials", committed in collaboration, as well as "passive corruption of judges, prosecutors and other justice officials".
