The Special Anti-Corruption Structure has requested the court to sentence the mayor of Devoll, Eduart Duro, to 1 year in prison on charges of abuse of office.
According to SPAK, Duro should be charged with "abuse of office". Duro, who was investigated and tried without security measures, does not risk his cell, as SPAK ultimately requested the conversion of the sentence to 3 years of probation. Meanwhile, the prosecution also requested a 5-year disqualification from holding public office.
Prosecutor Dritan Prençi requested the same sentence for the other 4 defendant officials, Astrit Seferkolli, Gazment Haxhia, Gazment Mali and Vosjava Bregu.
