The Albanian police discovered two criminal groups that trafficked cannabis sativa narcotics from America and Thailand to Albania through the mail. A2 CNN learns that the narcotic substance was sent by the Albanian Post from America to Tirana with 1 package which was brought with the claim that it contained grass seeds for football fields.
While from Thailand, the narcotic substance was brought in 5 packets camouflaged as noodles (Asian noodles) and packaged to camouflage.
In the "Destination 1" and "Destination 2" operations, the police arrested 3 people and declared 3 others wanted. The police seized 4 kilograms of cannabis sativa with a high percentage of THC, which were suspected to be sold in Tirana and Elbasan, as well as a quantity of cocaine that was found in the apartment of one of these citizens.
The narcotic substance THC is of very high quality and fetches a price on the market that is almost comparable to cocaine. 3 grams of THC costs around 100 euros.
