Cultivated cannabis and carried firearms at home, 45-year-old arrested in Kukës

A 45-year-old man in Kukës has been arrested by police after cultivating narcotic plants on 3 plots during 2024, local police announced.

"As a result of the checks carried out based on information provided by police intelligence, the Kukes Police Commissariat finalized the "Kroi" operation, during which citizen NM, 45 years old, was arrested. He was wanted because the Kukes Court had imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on him, for the criminal offenses "Cultivation of narcotic plants" and "Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", the police said.

In June 2024, the Police services determined that the 45-year-old had cultivated narcotic plants, in 3 plots, in the place called "Mahalla e Kroit të Madh". Further, during the searches in the apartment of this citizen, 1 Kalashnikov firearm with combat ammunition was found, which was possessed without a permit.

The procedural materials were passed on to the Kukes Prosecutor's Office for further action. (A2 Televizion)
