A 37-year-old Turkish man living in Tirana has been arrested by the Police, suspected of recruiting foreign nationals through advertising photos on online sites and then using them for prostitution.
Through a statement, the Police announced that during this police operation codenamed "Foreign Escort", 9 foreign nationals were also prosecuted for practicing prostitution.
The foreign nationals were recruited from China and Kazakhstan and the prostitution was carried out in a rented space in Tirana.
The police seized a significant amount of money, suspected to have been obtained from the exercise of this activity, 3 cell phones and 9 credit cards.
Meanwhile, the procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action, writes A2 CNN.

Specialists of the Illicit Trafficking Investigation Section at the Tirana Police Department, following successive operations aimed at cracking down on illegality in the field of illegal trafficking, have organized and finalized another operation.
As part of the "Foreign Escort" operation, Turkish citizen IY, 37 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Exploitation of prostitution" and "Maintaining premises for prostitution".
And 9 citizens were prosecuted for practicing prostitution.
Citizen IY is suspected of recruiting foreign nationals from China and Kazakhstan and then using an online website to exploit them for prostitution, providing clients with the purpose of having sexual relations for payment, in a premises rented by this citizen.
Investigations are ongoing to identify other persons implicated in this activity and complete legal documentation of this case.
