The repentant justice minister, Artan Tafani, testified today in the Special Court, where he recounted details about the murder orders and payments made by members of Laert Haxhiu's gang.
In his testimony, Tafani said that the murder of Çajup Selim was committed after he had harassed the mother of Erisiano, one of the members of Laert Haxhiu's group, writes A2 CNN.
He also revealed who the other associates of the criminal group were, as well as a meeting he had with them at a villa in Greece.

Question: Why was Çajup Selimi killed?
Tafani: I heard from Laert that he was killed after Erisiano had had problems and conflicts with him. They had had a fight because Çajupi had harassed Erisiano's mother. Since Anterio Kaloshi and Orges Bilbili had been in prison, Laert Haxhiu needed people and me. After Çajupi's murder, I went to Greece and met Laert and Mario Diamant and Xhino Bajrami, in a villa where they were with their girlfriends.
Tafani: When we left for Korça, Laerti, Lulzimi and I, the latter got a pistol from a garage where they kept these weapons and a car with a boot, we stopped in Pogradec where we met Bledar Berberi and Marigle Topuzi and we took them in the car. Laerti was looking for a place to dump the body on the way and Bledar had an email chat. We saw a tank. On the way they were joking, Marigleni said to Laerti "oh lala let me do it, I'll teach you how to do it".
Tafani: Bledar Berberi knew about everything that happened, and they knew that I had just committed the murder in Tepelena. I was numb.
