Durrës police arrested the suspected perpetrator of the stabbing incident that occurred the day before in the coastal city, A2 CNN reports. Ergys Pjeçi, 38, was arrested, who the day before is suspected of having seriously injured 21-year-old LI with a knife, in neighborhood 13 of Durrës.
During the search of the suspect's apartment, the knife with which he allegedly committed the crime and several devices suspected of being used to produce cryptocurrencies were found. An illegal electricity connection was also found.
The devices were seized by specialists from the Cyber Crimes Investigation Section of the Durrës Local Police Directorate, who are continuing investigative actions, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, for the legal documentation of this activity.
"At the conclusion of the actions, the Crime Investigation specialists have arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen EP, 38 years old, resident of Durrës, for the criminal offenses of "Intentional serious injury", "Unlicensed production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons", "Unlicensed exercise of financial activities", "Hiding income" and "Theft of electricity or telephone impulses".
