Festim Bexhdili, the gardener of the Golden complex where Jani Prengës is believed to have died and then disappeared in January 2021, has recounted details in the courtroom about the event. A2 CNN journalist Armand Bajrami, in a connection with Bruna Çifligu's Diary, said that he saw 4 people get out of a Range Rover and then ask him to move a body to another vehicle as well as a pickaxe and a shovel.
"In this session, Festim Bexhdili confessed that while he was working at the Golden complex in Shijak while doing his gardening job, he claimed that he had seen a Range Rover vehicle enter the underground garage from which 4 armed people got out and when he approached them and asked what they were looking for, they told him that they wanted 4 cans of water. He did not identify the people because he did not know them, but referring to their dialect, they were people from the north. He also obeyed their orders to move a dead body from the Range Rover to a Fiat Doblo vehicle owned by the complex," the A2 CNN journalist reported.
Questioned by prosecutors in the courtroom, Bexhdili said he felt afraid and obeyed their orders. He did not recognize the victim and did not know who the deceased was, but he confessed that the same people also asked him for a pickaxe and shovel, which he made available to them.
Responding to questions from prosecutor Behar Dibra, he had contradictions in his testimony.
Festim Bexhdili left the complex in the same vehicle. In addition to the footage in the courtroom, he said that he did not leave in that vehicle but in another. Becçdili claimed that he was wrong when he said that the body was moved from the Range Rover to the Fiat Doblo, but also including another vehicle. So from the Range Rover to a Mercedes and then to the Fiat Doblo.
He also mentioned the presence of Altin Hajri, a suspect and defendant in this incident, where according to him, during the time these people were in the underground garage, he had held 4 people in the garage accountable.
