The search operation for a worker at a chrome processing factory in the Klos municipality, who was trapped in a mass of soil and inert materials while he was working, has been ongoing for 5 days.
The National Authority for Safety and Emergencies in Mines (AKSEM) is leading the operation with 74 employees and specialized equipment such as thermal cameras and underground scanners.
Additionally, the Armed Forces have sent 151 officers from several departments, while the State Police has deployed 24 officers. Great support has also been provided by 535 volunteers from the local community, who are working alongside two excavators in the most problematic area.
Due to the difficulty of the terrain, on May 7, a specialized team from the Kosovo Security Force joined the operation with 12 officers and 2 search dogs.
The landslide has covered a distance of about 6 km in a steep and difficult area for intervention. The operation remains ongoing, while central and local structures are maximally engaged to find the body of the missing employee. (A2 Televizion)
