A 41-year-old Turkish man has been arrested, accused of colluding with other people and using computer fraud to commit illegal transactions worth over 1 million euros. Ferhat Karakus was arrested, A2 CNN reports. But how did the police track him down?

The company "MasterCard" had noticed that an Albanian citizen had started to carry out numerous bank transactions in values ranging from 50 thousand euros and higher. These suspicious actions have caused the company to notify the police, who then immediately launched an investigation. According to sources, it is learned that the 41-year-old Turk had managed to obtain the bank card of an Albanian, an ordinary citizen, and through it carried out bank transactions with his businesses.

As a camouflage, he made purchases at his business in the name of the Albanian citizen so that the transactions appeared regular. But the police discovered that they were of criminal origin. In some cases, when transactions were made on the Albanian citizen's card, it turned out that he was not in Albania.

The Albanian citizen has denied any knowledge of these transactions, for this reason the police are also investigating whether or not he has any connection with the arrested Turk, since the Albanian has not reported the loss of his bank card. Work is also being done to identify other persons outside Albanian territory who may be involved in this fraud scheme. (A2 Televizion)
