Two Elbasan Police inspectors have been placed under "house arrest" security measure, after being accused of "abuse of duty" and "corruption".
The decision taken by the Elbasan Court was executed by the Police Supervision Agency on Wednesday, writes A2 CNN.
The two officers are Inspector Nertil Xhemalaj, a police officer at the Elbasan Police Station, and Inspector Eraldi Koprencka, a police officer at the Elbasan Traffic Police Sector.
The Court's decision came based on the criminal proceedings of 2024, where the in-depth investigative actions of AMP under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, made it possible to collect evidence and facts that create reasonable suspicion of the involvement of these employees in corrupt acts.
