Tirana Police is awaiting a response from the Scientific Police to verify whether the shell casings found at the scene where Lulzim Visha was killed match the weapon found in the car that the perpetrators burned, or the one that investigators seized in Eduart Lam's apartment.
All this evidence was submitted to the laboratory, which will determine which weapon was used to shoot, writes A2 CNN. If the expertise determines with legal evidence that the automatic weapon with a silencer that was found in Lam's apartment was used in the crime, the positions and charges that will fall on him will be aggravated.
Officially, the 37-year-old was arrested only on charges of illegal possession of a weapon, while his cousin, Ervis Lami, 31, was declared wanted. But agents are also investigating them as suspected perpetrators of the murder of 48-year-old Visha, because they had received information that they had had conflicts over land.
After his arrest, Eduart Lami denied to the police that he had had any conflicts with the victim. This Monday he appeared before the Tirana court and was remanded in custody for the sole charge of illegal possession of a weapon.
