"Pure electoral crime", Alibeaj: Parliament was used for campaigning,

This photo published this Wednesday on the official website of the Parliament has brought the reaction of the opposition, where MP Enkelejd Alibeaj, both a candidate of the opposition coalition "Right for Development", claims that the highest institution in the country is being used for campaigning in favor of the Socialist Party.

But the institution itself, in a reaction on social media, denied being involved in the campaign and added that it is representative of the will of the people and all political forces.

"We clarify to the public opinion that the services of the Parliament, while exercising their duties, are based on the principles of professionalism and impartiality. The Parliament of Albania guarantees to the public opinion that its administration and services, website and social networks have not been and will not be involved in any way or form in the parliamentary election campaign," the Parliament's response states.

Speaking to A2 CNN, Alibeaj stated that his complaint has already been submitted to the CEC's electronic platform, but added that there has been no reaction from this institution yet.

"I still don't have an answer, I'm waiting. In fact, I'm also waiting for something else, so that not only me as an MP or someone else who has consulted the Parliament's website, but also the CEC monitoring group set up a few days ago to monitor the social networks of candidates and institutions have identified this serious event."

Alibeaj also filed the complaint on the electronic platform set up by SPAK, but adds that he will also file the relevant report. He asks the Special Structure to investigate not only this case, but every electoral crime.

"It is another institution that will actually need to be dedicated to investigating electoral crimes, I am talking about SPAK here. Which will need to use every active means to identify and prosecute electoral crimes, even in real time. This should happen now, which is the electoral campaign. The sooner and the more, the better."

Alibeaj states that he is not aware of who is hiding behind this electoral post, but according to him, the fact that the author is more important is important.

"It's unnecessary to comment on who did it. The official website is the institution's. Is it Elisa Spiropali, is it a director, is it an IT? That doesn't matter."

According to the leader of the Right for Development coalition, the Assembly is not the only institution that has been used for electoral purposes, but he adds that a large part of the administration is being misused.  (A2 Televizion)
