The interference in the internal communication systems of SPAK and the attempt to hack the prosecutors' files, for Sali Berisha is an attack that has a political background. The opposition leader claimed during a press conference that everything is a war between the clans of the Socialist Party.
"What is this? This could be an internal war, within the mafia clans within the SP. They want to blame Fatmir Xhafaj for this hacking too."
Unlike SPAK, which claims that no investigative data was stolen, Berisha declares that his file was taken from prosecutors' computers.
"Now Fatmir is being accused of, gossip is the word, hacking SKAP's computers, and to revolt me and my file. I tell Fatmir, publish it as soon as you find it, because it is public."
At the conference, Berisha was also asked about the trade tariffs imposed by Donald Trump on many countries around the world, including Albania. The Democratic leader defended this decision by the head of the White House, saying that this was a measure of reciprocity.
"The DP government, after May 11, will have on its agenda open, transparent negotiations with the US government on the issue of tariffs. I am optimistic, because if you have noticed that, at first glance, lower tariffs were used for Albania than in other countries, the same thing will be true for Kosovo."
Faced with Edi Rama's promise for Albania's membership in the EU, Berisha considers the Prime Minister as the man who delayed the process for years, while guaranteeing that the mission will be fulfilled by the DP, as it did with NATO membership and visa liberalization.
