The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of being afraid of the diaspora vote, and has ordered his representatives at the CEC not to allow the extension of the deadlines for registration on the platform of Albanians abroad.
Berisha once again reiterated his call to his compatriots to take advantage of the last moments to become part of the May 11 elections.
"Edi Rama personally, in the year of the diaspora, ordered his representatives at the CEC to reject the proposal of the DP representatives to extend until at least the 9th the registration of diaspora members to participate in the May 11th elections.
The categorical refusal of Edi Rama and his representative, Damian Gjiknuri, proves the fear and terror that has gripped them and their criminal party from the free vote of Albanians abroad.
I take this opportunity to call on all Albanians to use these remaining hours for their mass registration, also in an act of punishment for the person who has a terrible phobia of their vote.
Meanwhile, the last call is for his representatives in the CEC regulatory body to oppose Edi Rama's decision, to vote with the opposition representatives, because in this way they will rise to the height of the country's Constitution and will not become mercenaries to completely exclude over 500 thousand Albanians from the right to vote", Berisha said, among other things.
