Albania is presented as a place of honor this year at the Berlin Tourism Fair, a platform for attracting investors and tourists to visit our country. At the press conference, Prime Minister Rama invited travelers from all over the world to visit Albania, with the motto as an attraction where, in a short time, you can find everything, reports A2 CNN.
"Albania has a place for everyone. It is a very small country, but it is different from Switzerland; it is more diverse. In a very short distance, 28 thousand km, but with the greatest diversity; we have two seas, 9 rivers, many mountains, many valleys, many lakes and, also, like the cherry on the cake, we have the Albanians. And we are never boring, like the Swiss," said Rama.
In the journalist's teasing that Israelis are in love with the Hellenic state and how real Albania has the opportunity to turn into a new Greece in tourism, Prime Minister Rama responded with the argument of Albanian hospitality that Jews have experienced since World War II.
"We have a clean balance sheet, without a single Jew who surrendered to the Nazis. In our Constitution, our first customary law, we have a very important sentence: "The home of an Albanian belongs to God and to his friend. Every friend represents God." So, if you want to feel how God feels, come to Albania. If you want to go to a place where you think that even taxi drivers are gods, go to Greece. We know that for us it is love, for you it is also money, but it is better to come to Albania. You will save more than in Greece and you will have everything you have in Greece, with many other pluses," said Rama.
Due to the influx at the "Mother Teresa" international airport, the government is considering having a seasonal airport in the south, in addition to those in Vlora and Kukës. "Imagine 11 million passengers in a country with 2.5 million inhabitants; it is an extraordinary figure. We are planning a fourth one at the southernmost tip, practically opposite Corfu, because there is a lot of overcrowding at the Corfu airport and we have realized that there is a need and a fairly large demand to have a small seasonal airport at the tip," said the prime minister.
Foreign journalists asked Rama what projects his government has to develop land transport for tourists. "It's coming slowly, steadily, step by step. For now, we are quite keen to occupy the skies. As for the land, we invite you to occupy it."
