Edi Rama has responded to the accusations made by his political opponent, Sali Berisha, in recent weeks, against his brother-in-law and his wife's daughter.

In a press conference, the head of the government emphasized that in no case have family members benefited from public funds.

The Prime Minister also rejected the accusations made in his name about charter flights abroad, with Albanian taxpayers' money.

"Let everyone learn, even those who may be impressed by the absurd accusation of millions of euros spent on flights, that I and all the cases that members of my family travel with me. I travel in two ways; in cases of official visits or my work as prime minister, with the relevant aircraft. In all other cases with airliners like all Albanians, economically and at my own expense," explained Rama.

Meanwhile, when asked about the behavior of the majority in Parliament since the launch of the opposition action by Sali Berisha's group, the leading socialist admitted the abnormality of the situation, but added that they have no other way left.

"The desire and willingness to discuss it is indisputable. But when you go to the Assembly to speak and find yourself in front of individuals who come to show the strength of the muscles, there are two ways: either you show the strength of the muscles, or in the inability to speak, vote and continue the work."

Based on these accusations, Rama emphasized that the opposition cannot demand the establishment of investigative commissions "to silence people." (A2 Televizion)
