Prime Minister Rama appeared at noon this Friday in a conference with journalists, where he spoke at the beginning of his speech about the issue of January 21. Rama once again emphasized the necessity of a full disclosure of this event, which according to him, has remained without a perpetrator, because the killing did not start from pulling the trigger of the machine gun, but from the order, which came from the top.
He went on to say that the state crime of January 21, as he called it, history shows that it takes a long time to be solved, but they never remain unsolved, while he did not hesitate to attack the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, which according to him has mocked with contempt the Constitution, the law and of course then the pain and the right of the family members of the victims in the first place, but also of the whole society to know the truth until the end and has treated it as a rag, a test new released a few months ago.
"I said that state crimes like the one on January 21, history shows that it takes a long time to be solved, but they never remain unsolved, and while the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana mocked with contempt the Constitution, the law and of course then even with the pain and the right of the family members of the victims in the first place, but also of the whole society to know the truth until the end and has treated it like a rag, a new evidence came out a few months ago, it is time that justice new to react since in the meantime, since this crime has taken the roads of the country's prosecutions and courts, the structure of the justice system has changed and the personalities or profiles of high officials are investigated by another structure.
Reading the court's decision is like reading a narrative repeated by us over the years and pointing the finger directly at the executive authorities of the time is written in black and white. Not only for the crime of murder, which has remained without a perpetrator, because the murder did not start from pulling the trigger of the machine gun but from the order, which came from the top, but on the other hand, the court underlines, it also points to the crime of obstructing justice. It is very clear in the decision that the largest executive authorities of the country have prevented justice in the most brutal way from reacting and acting in real time to start solving this crime.
I have an unshakable conviction today and all day that there is no force that can prevent the final disclosure of the state crime of January 21, but of course it can be delayed, it can continue to be delayed, and that is why I am here, expressing these considerations, because it is important for the morality of the justice system, for the morality of the justice reform, for the morality of the new justice institutions that the ordeal of the victims' families does not continue, that the whole society does not continue to hang because of of this crime and not to continue the withdrawal and not to break the deliberate and cynical delay in the face of the necessity of doing justice until the end for January 21.
In the face of this state crime of January 21, all the others have their importance, but they are many times less likely to weigh in the full establishment of the whole new foundation of justice, which has just begun to be built. And if January 21 remains in the air, then even the new foundation of justice cannot hold all the extraordinary weight of the mission that justice has in a democratic country, in a country where no one is above the law and where no one can exercise temporary power to take the lives of innocent people," said Prime Minister Rama in his introductory speech to journalists.
