The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a press conference called on the diaspora to vote on May 11, as, according to him, in this way they would be doing "a historic service to the country and the nation."
"First, a message to the Albanian diaspora, which has been the soul of this electoral campaign. My call is, any of them, who can come to vote on May 11, does a historic service to their country and nation. May 11 is the defining day of the future of the Albanian nation. Hundreds of thousands of emigrants registered to vote, but an organized disorder was observed in two places with the post office, which has an authoritative, good name, but which displayed the greatest irregularities," Berisha said, writes A2.
"I hope and wish that this does not discourage, but rather encourages every Albanian citizen abroad who can come these two days and vote at the polling stations. It would be an extraordinary service, a unique opportunity given to them to serve the country," added the democratic leader. (A2 Televizion)
