A day after the submission to the CEC of the lists of DP candidates for the May 11 elections, Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha commented on the list of socialist opponent Edi Rama. In a statement to the media, Berisha said that Edi Rama's closed list includes all ministers who have files with SPAK, with the aim of protecting themselves.
"Meanwhile, Albanians saw the Skapit list on the other side. All the ministers with quintals of files on their backs were included one after another in the protected list, for the sole reason that they stole together with Edi Rama. Those who did not steal together with Edi Rama, but ate pears separately, they took the roads, they took the bridges. Edi Rama's closed list is the list of Skapitists, of those who enter and exit Skapit and who go with the greatest shamelessness to ask citizens for votes to protect themselves from Justice. So, the closed list is the mafia's list, it is Edi Rama's Skapit list."
