Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, like his rival, Edi Rama, has called for a massive mobilization of his MPs to get the most out of the Diaspora's votes in the May 11 elections.
At the meeting of the Democratic group, Berisha praised his party for the work done during this time to register immigrants, but asked that these days, they leave everything behind and until the 2nd, dedicate themselves to registering potential immigrants to vote for the Democratic Party.
"Now, this is a very positive development, this spirit, this optimism, this will that is reflected in emigration and the diaspora, has a powerful impact in Albania as well, where people are in more difficult conditions, facing all the consequences of the drug regime, but again it is a message of hope, a message of faith that we will be liberated and it is a very positive thing. The program, again I emphasize, our program must be our book, our Constitution in these elections, in the sense of communicating with them", said Berisha.
He underlined that the Democrats should approach the Diaspora through their program, and with what he calls the "book of good deeds."
"We, above all, will present the program. The second book, the main book, our program. This program always has the citizen, no one can say where the money is. All the money is there. But how will you distribute it? If we feel an obligation to the citizens, of course we will return a part of it to salaries and pensions. This is simple. Therefore, we will set the living minimum at 200 euros. With 200 euros, there will be no more extreme poverty. Everyone will eliminate extreme poverty in this way. This is just the beginning. Minimum wages increase by 20 percent, they are 400, they become 500. This is always the first three months. Consumer card. Yes, the one who receives 200 euros and the one who receives 1 thousand euros cannot be taxed the same on food. This one will have a consumer card, at least he will receive those foods tax-free.
