Berisha: DP will not join votes with Rama for any measure against the justice system

The Democratic Party will not join votes with Edi Rama for any measure against the justice system. This was stated by Sali Berisha at the meeting of the Democratic parliamentary group, according to which Albania cannot and should not have a political prosecutor.

"Edi Rama is trying with his propaganda to create an analogy between his chief thief's stances towards prosecutors and our stances. No, it is completely different. I must clarify for the Albanians that this party will never join votes with Edi Rama for any measure towards the justice system. This party has a clear platform, it has expressed its stances in the deepest conviction that Albania cannot and should not have a political prosecutor's office. But this will not be done in any other way than through the Venice Commission. This will be done through reform and in no case by transforming the parliamentary group into a prosecutor, nor into a lawyer, and even less so by the party that claims to fight with zero tolerance against corruption, joining with anyone in defense of corruption."

After hearing from the rector of the Kamza Agricultural University, Berisha warned Rama that if he surrounds the institutions, Surreli will be surrounded.

"Mr. Sallaku, do you understand that you entered the den of thieves? Who are you crying to? So, all of these people are finished. These people are finished and they should never think that they can carry out even the smallest action with the support of the opposition. The opposite is true. I warn Edi Rama, if he allows himself to surround the institutions, Surrel will be surrounded. There are no, there cannot be Escobar's triumphal acts like what happened in the 80s in Colombia. No. So I hope he doesn't change his mind because he declared that he won't surround anymore. He doesn't change his mind because he will find Surrel surrounded. This is not happening.
