The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama, as soon as he came to power, criminalized the State Police, by appointing Saimir Tahiri as Minister of Interior, whom the former prime minister calls a drug trafficker, writes A2 CNN.
Berisha made the comments at a meeting on the topic of "Security and Order", where he said that all former traffickers, former incriminated officers removed from office not only by the DP government, but according to him, also removed from office by the socialist governments before it, were subsequently returned to duty.
He added that Prime Minister Edi Rama, in relation to crime, in national history can only be compared to Mehmet Shehu and Enver Hoxha, who, according to him, were surrounded by murderers and criminals.
Excerpt from Berisha's speech:
Good evening and a heartfelt greeting to all of you, to all members of the State Police, who left the crime that came to power from this police force, because of the valuable contribution they made in the fight against crime, in securing the lives and activities of Albanian citizens.
I would like to take this opportunity to salute all those members of the State Police who are on duty today, but who have managed, amidst extraordinary difficulties, to remain unyielding in the face of crime and its terrible connections. I assure you that they have and will have the greatest appreciation.
Dear friends!
Edi Rama started his battle to create a narco-state against you, against the State Police. For this purpose, he appointed a gangster, a trafficker, an ordinary person like Saimir Tahiri, at the head of the Ministry of Order, who was also the first Albanian politician to buy the smuggling boat, personally.
By placing a crime exponent at the head of the Ministry of Order, Rama and his deputy began the operation to purge the police of hundreds of brave, courageous officers who provided extraordinary services to the country, eliminating and bringing to justice over 206 of the most dangerous criminal groups and organizations in Albania and the region.
Meanwhile, after this purge of the police ranks, they recruited the underworld with which they came to power and openly, publicly, officially launched the narco-state with the cannabisization of all of Albania.
They returned to duty, all the former traffickers, former incriminated officers removed from duty not only by the DP government, but in fact removed from duty by the socialist governments before it.
In relation to crime, Edi Rama can only be considered in national history with his fathers, Mehmet Shehu and Enver Hoxha, who were certainly surrounded by murderers and criminals, and with no one else. (A2 Televizion)
