Prime Minister Edi Rama has posted a video on social media in which he calls on all Albanian citizens living abroad to register for the May 11 parliamentary elections.
While explaining the procedure they must follow, the head of government asks Albanian immigrants not to leave the registration process until the last day.
"The elections are indeed on May 11, but for those of you outside Albania to vote by mail from where you are, you must register from now until May 4, otherwise you cannot vote. Registration is done on the CEC website, www.kqz.gov.al, it is not difficult, but it does take a little patience and a few minutes.
Don't put it off until tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, as we Albanians do, because time flies. I repeat, only those who register by March 4 will be able to vote, there are still 46 days until the CEC sends you the ballot and you fill it out and return it, the government will also pay for the return postage in the envelope with your vote.
Register and vote so that we can raise the respect of Albania and Albanians wherever you live even higher. You know who overturned the bad name of the country and raised its head that had been lowered for many, many years in Greece and elsewhere, so you will not have a hard time choosing, but first you must register", says Rama.
