The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, invited to the "Debat" studio by Alba Alishani, on A2 CNN, stated that the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, stole himself and then implicated his wife and mother-in-law.
"Dozens of companies won tenders from the Municipality of Tirana and passed the money to Erion Veliaj through his wife. Erion Veliaj's crime is multiple. He steals himself and implicates his wife, mother-in-law and the deceased. Each of these, in itself, are layers of a crime and of a man who, after stealing, loses all control," said Berisha.
"These facts were discovered by Nesti Angoni, because the facts sent to him by the opposition, which are 5 times more than these, were not touched. Veliaj was immune to them. So, the citizens of Tirana have given 130 million euros for the incinerator," added the democratic leader.
