Berisha reveals behind the scenes: How Rama threatened me badly in 2013, here's what he wanted

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, stated that in 2013 he was threatened by Prime Minister Edi Rama (then leader of the opposition) that if the then-DP majority passed the law on the vote for immigrants in Parliament, the SP would not participate in the elections.

In 2008, when the code was made, it did not include any decision of the Constitutional Court, there was no law in the Electoral Code that recognized the right of Albanians abroad to vote in the countries where they live.

Let's not make trivial, low speculations, which only show where you should hide. When I brought the law in 2013 on the vote of immigrants, Edi Rama threatened me firmly that he would not participate in the elections if you introduce this law. And here, there are the people from that time, and we did not get past it.

Finally, the decision of the Constitutional Court imposed itself and the parties decided to vote, so we are dealing with a new development. There is nothing more absurd than questioning the Albanian citizenship of an Albanian, because according to you, he does not have an Albanian passport or ID card. There is no constitutional provision for this.
