Properties were the topic of Sali Berisha's discussion at the meeting he held in Himara, promising that it would be a priority for the Government if the DP returns to power.
"Therefore, I am here to pledge to you that the next government, the inviolability of property, its restitution and compensation, providing you with documents, all legalizations and everything you have, will have absolute priority."
At the Himara meeting, he was accompanied by Alfred Belerin, who accompanied Berisha during the walk in the city. The leader of the Democratic Party explained why, according to him, Edi Rama imprisoned Belerin after the latter received the majority of citizens' votes to lead the Himara municipality under the opposition's banner in the 2023 local elections.
"The prosecutors and judges controlled by him did not allow Beleri as any other previously elected candidate had been allowed, they did not allow him to come and take the oath, and there was only one reason: that Beleri refused to run for his party. That Beleri told him that I am right-wing and I have my principles, and those principles never coincided with the principles of the one who seeks to steal your lands, to plunder your lands, to rob you of your homes."
He accused his political opponent Edi Rama of stealing property in Gjipe, Himara.
"I say to Vangjel Tavo, your mission... bravo, that's right. He fully deserves your disgust. He deserves it because only a missionary of Edi Rama's mafia intentions came, who with his family will plunder the lands of the Monastery of Scutari, will plunder Gjipenë, at a time when their family had, according to evidence, four goats and three pigs. Baba Piloja, as Edi Rama tells him, that we had no land at all, and now he comes to us with 224 thousand square meters of land and says that I have it on top of the mountain, the land borders the sea. Edi Rama, you will never enjoy that land."
He also made a promise to the residents of the Vlora River, to whom Berisha guaranteed that no one would be able to take even a liter of water. (A2 Televizion)
