The Chairman of the Socialist Party, Edi Rama, in a conversation with the business community in Elbasan for "Fiscal Peace", spoke about the fiscal incentives that the Albanian government will undertake, according to him, in order to support small businesses. He also announced that inspections of businesses will soon be carried out with Artificial Intelligence.
This special package gives businesses the opportunity to close past issues and have a new, fairer and more predictable relationship with the state.
"From the very beginning, we abolished the flat tax for everyone because if we had kept it, we would not have today 93% of those who are salaried in the state or private sector who pay less than 10%. It hit the smallest. We turned it into a progressive tax so that the smallest do not pay the same as the largest and we have saved the smallest, that is, salaried employees with an average salary of 140 million euros. A considerable amount for the Albanian state. 1.4 billion is a lot and we have left it to the treasury. Meanwhile, we have left the profit tax at 15%, but we will not cut it. In terms of administration, we have shortcomings, gaps that are ours, but we also have unexplored space to increase revenues for the state. When AI sees anomalies in a business, it signals. When it signals, the inspector sends a notification to the business that "you forgot to press the button".
