In the final lists of 2025, 266,794 voters were registered in the Korça district, while in 2021, 284,363 voters were registered.
This shows that in the 2025 elections we have 17,569 fewer registered voters, writes A2 CNN.
Sources close to the main political camps of the Korça District said that this decrease in the number of voters on the final list of the May 11 elections came as a result of the deregistrations made by the civil registry offices of voters who had registered to be part of this process in the European countries where they live and work.
This number, always according to sources provided by the civil registry offices, is lower due to the removal of people who are no longer living and those who are over 100 years old from this year's voting lists.
In the 2021 elections, the Socialist Party won 6 mandates with 60,543 votes, the DP 5 mandates with 50,479 votes, while the LSI (now PL) received 8,493 votes but failed to secure a mandate, writes A2 CNN.
In the May 11 elections in the Korça region, there are 10 mandates, as one mandate has been transferred to the capital due to the decline in the population in the southeast. (A2 Televizion)
