DP releases names, denounces massive violations in the electoral process

The Democratic Party, through a press statement led by Albana Vokshi, chairwoman of the DP-ASHM Election Monitoring Task Force, has raised serious accusations against the Socialist Party for systematic manipulations during the electoral process. Vokshi stated that over 200 official complaints have been submitted to the CEC and international institutions such as OSCE/ODIHR, as well as over 30 criminal reports to SPAK.

According to the DP, vote buying has escalated significantly since March, especially in rural areas. Reports collected include testimonies, photos and videos showing the distribution of money, food and promises of employment in exchange for votes.

"Cash payments, food aid, livestock concentrate, promises of informal employment in exchange for votes have been used. There are videos, testimonies, photos and eyewitnesses who have proven that Socialist Party officials and candidates are distributing money or promising financial or other benefits in exchange for votes," said Vokshi.

Another concern raised is the reactivation of the network of patronage agents, who, according to the DP, are exerting pressure on administrative employees and citizens, even in educational institutions. This includes orders for forced participation in rallies, documented with photos and videos.

The Democratic Party also accuses of misuse of public funds, where 13 million euros were used for projects described as "electoral asphalt", without standards and with the aim of electorally favoring the SP.

Another serious concern is the use of schools and children in party activities, in violation of the law on pre-university education. Cases of manipulation of the diaspora vote have also been reported.
