Debate on Albania in the EP, Berisha: Edi Rama's European passport was torn

Yesterday's debate in the European Parliament, where MEPs expressed their concerns about the corruption and organized crime that has often influenced elections in Albania, gave a voice to the opposition in the country.

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a media appearance, said that yesterday in the EP, Edi Rama's European passport was torn, thus undermining the promise on which the prime minister launched the May 11 electoral campaign, for Albania's membership in the EU in 2030.

"Yesterday, the fear of the drug majority for parliamentary investigative committees was loudly denounced in the European Parliament, a great surprise as to how parliamentary investigative committees can be blocked. Yesterday, Edi Rama's European passport was torn. His fraud with the European passport came to an end. The masks fell, dear citizens, despite the fact that Edi Rama with his offices hid it, did not broadcast the hearing session held in the European Parliament, in the committee where the entire political spectrum was present. So, in the session, the entire ugliness of the Albanian drug state that does not respect any law, any decision, any article of the country's Constitution came to light," said Berisha.

The leader of the blue headquarters further expressed gratitude to those who organized yesterday's session at the European Parliament, describing it as a major event in support of democracy in Albania and the free vote of Albanian citizens.

"Open denunciation of the violators of this vote, of Edi Rama and his caves of crime that lure them into the elections. I can have nothing but boundless gratitude. Yesterday they received the strongest warning they have ever received that they are being watched, that they are being supervised, that they will be punished. Albania was asked not to threaten the opposition, to respect the rules," Berisha underlined. (A2 Televizion)
