EC President Ursula von der Leyen is the next EU official to congratulate Prime Minister Edi Rama on his victory in the parliamentary elections.
Von der Leyen appreciates Albania's progress and reaffirms the position that her country belongs in the EU.
"Dear Edi Rama, congratulations on your election victory! Under your leadership, Albania has made great progress towards our Union. Let us continue to work closely together on EU reforms. Albania belongs to the EU! I look forward to personally congratulating you tomorrow in Tirana," Von der Leyen wrote. (A2 Televizion)
