The candidate for deputy of the 'Right for Development' coalition in the Durrës district, Rezart Kthupi, has stated that if their vote is affected on May 11, they will demand a recount of all votes.
Kthupi made the comments during an interview with journalist Erion Dushi on A2 CNN's 'Weekend Diary', where he warned that all those who affect citizens' votes will be held criminally responsible before the law.
He also said that the mission of small political entities in these elections is to prevent the SP and DP from reaching 71 mandates to form a government alone. After that, according to him, the country will move to a technical government and constitutional changes will be made to the electoral code.
"If I have an obligation, it is to my daughter that things in Albania improve. If we have fought some battles in recent years, we have done them with the intention of making a difference in the lives of citizens."
We have tried to unite with other parties to form a third pole, but we lacked political maturity and were unable to overcome these narrow interests. A third pole would be the best electoral solution against the 2 dinosaurs of politics. The votes here are counted by the 2 big parties. Even the votes of Albanians outside Albania are voted by the 2 big parties.
What we want to do is to prevent the SP and the DP from obtaining a governing majority and then to collapse this system by building a new electoral code and secondly by moving into a period of technical governance in Albania.
"What has happened repeatedly during the vote counting is the deformation of the will of the citizens. What we are telling the citizens today is that the moment the count counts, we will demand a recount of all votes. They should keep in mind that they will be held criminally responsible before the law," said Kthupi, writes A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
