The Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, has narrated in the show 'Off the Record' with journalist Andrea Danglili on A2 CNN some stories from the 1990s, which according to him, are completely true.

Gonxja, while throwing accusations at the chief democrat Sali Berisha, said that during the time he was in power after 1992, he himself, Prime Minister Edi Rama and other exponents of journalism and the SP, were persecuted, broke the windows with stones and risked his life by the government of that time.

Gonxhja also said that at the Tirana lake they found a journalist buried up to the neck, who never recovered after that event, as he was left with psychological problems.

"We did not lose human lives in 90-91 and we lost 3,000 human lives in 1997. How is it possible that we risked lives more in 1997 with Berisha in power than in 1991 with Ramiz Ali in power. Rama has been in student protests for a real opposition. He came out, fought until he risked losing his life, me, Ndre Legisi, etc.

In 1996, we found a journalist colleague who was immersed in the lake up to the height of his neck. This journalist later lost his life and during that time he was in a psychological state that he never recovered from. In that period, we were persecuted, they threw stones at our houses, they broke our window panes", said Gonxhja. (A2 Televizion)
