Former minister Damian Gjiknuri, currently deputy and Secretary for Electoral Affairs, was invited this Sunday to the show "Off the Record" by Andrea Dangli on A2 CNN. At first, he broke down details from the vote of the diaspora, which will have the opportunity in the 2025 elections to vote for the first time.
"The only thing unfinished so far for the upcoming elections is the vote of the diaspora, where the CEC still has a decision to make that determines the procedures for counting the ballots that come abroad and with this the entire legal basis is completed. This is about setting up the platform for the application of citizens from abroad to register and then the whole other basis since the vote from abroad is a real logistical challenge".
Furthermore, Gjiknuri rejected all claims of manipulations, stressing that this is impossible according to him.
"It is absurd to think that the vote of the diaspora will be manipulated when the citizens who vote from abroad have no influence. These are cries before defeat.
