Prime Minister Edi Rama has sent a congratulatory message to His Grace Joan Pelushi on his election as the new Archbishop of the Albanian Autocephalous Orthodox Church.
Rama wishes that God will protect and guide His Grace in his mission as the guide of the flock of Orthodox believers.
"Good morning and with the rare pleasure of electing one of the best Albanians to head the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania, as well as with special congratulations to His Grace, Archbishop Joan Pelushi, may God protect and guide him always in His mission of guiding the flock of Orthodox believers, I wish you all a good week," Rama writes.
