Belind Këlliçi, invited to the "Ditar" studio with Erion Dushi on A2 CNN, stated that the controversy over the Democratic Party's list of candidates came about due to the fact that the largest opposition party was conditioned by the grand coalition created to oust Edi Rama from power.
"There is no perfect list and there never will be. As long as we are dealing with lists that have candidates with a limited number of representatives of the Democratic Party, also due to the conditioning of allies, and as long as there is a limit on the lists, there will always be ambitions that will remain half-finished, careers that will be harmed, individuals who will be dissatisfied and this is quite natural," said Këlliçi.
According to him, "internal debate is an asset in the Democratic Party and a different opinion is also an asset."
"It is an asset that there are clashes between politicians, because this shows that it is a free party, where people say what they think. In contrast to the military unit on the other hand, from the structured criminal group that is led today by Edi Rama, where the careers of dozens of SP ministers and MPs have been interrupted and no one has dared to say a word, because this is what Edi Rama has decided. But, in order to remain with the DP, being conditioned by the coalition factor, which is huge, with 26 parties, it has been conditioned to give 8 mandates on safe lists for allies. So, there are 8 Democrats who are not part of the closed list due to this conditioning", said Këlliçi.
"While on the open list there are well-known figures who will compete, such as Ilir Alimehmeti, Jorida Tabaku, Grigels Muçollari, Ilda Zhulali and many others. These are an extraordinary asset for the DP and will bring endless votes to the opposition. There are many who deserved to be on the closed list of the DP, but these were the spaces," added Belind Këlliçi.
