Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that the Government decided to distribute the bonus to pensioners in spring as well as winter, because the Albanian economy has grown.
Rama made the comments during a statement to the media together with Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, where he spoke about the executive's decision to reduce the price of electricity by 1 lek per kWh.
Rama also said during his speech that the pensioners' bonus for the New Year and in the spring will not only be for this year for electoral purposes, but will be there in the future, A2 CNN reports.
"For everything I have done, do and will do, people will say and I don't care what they say. What interests me is that over 1 million subscribers of electricity will pay a reduced price thanks to a meaningful success, on a path from the abyss to the top of Albania 2030.
They also said that the spring bonus for pensioners is electoral, I myself as a being am electoral since I leave the house, that's why they say that about everything I do. But what interests me is that pensioners will receive another bonus, because the economy is growing and we want to have inclusive growth.
So everyone gets their share from this increase. What I care about is the truth. Pension bonuses are here to stay, as a result of projections and economic growth. The reduction in energy is there to stay", said Rama, writes A2 CNN.
