Jorida Tabaku: The mass exodus is destroying Albania, the government has built

Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, has once again raised the alarm about the consequences of what she called the mass exodus of Albanians, describing this phenomenon as the greatest disaster that has ever occurred in the country.

In a message published on social networks, Tabaku described the sad reality, according to her, of Albania, where cities and villages are emptying every day, while the economy has become unaffordable for most citizens.

"Have you seen the emptying of city centers? Have you seen the villages that are now filled only with pensioners? Agriculture no longer has young people to work the land, while honest businesses are closing one after another," Tabaku said.

According to the Democratic MP, Albania is facing a serious demographic and economic crisis, with 30% of the population over retirement age, while one in three young people is unemployed or out of school. Tabaku accused the government of building an economic system that does not support work, entrepreneurship and meritocracy, but favors a small minority of the privileged.

"In these 11 years, the government has built an economy of the minority, an economy of privileges, by granting fiscal favors, special laws and tax breaks to a handful of oligarchs, while the majority of citizens have been left to the mercy of fate," Tabaku stressed.

Offering a solution, the Democratic MP emphasized that the Democratic Party has a clear vision to change the economic model and create equal opportunities for all. She invited citizens to support the DP on May 11 to bring about the long-awaited change.

"We need to change this economic model, we need to build a system that supports honest and hardworking people, that values work and entrepreneurship. Albania has extraordinary citizens, but unfortunately they no longer see a future here and are leaving. On May 11, Albanians will support the Democratic Party to stop this catastrophe," Tabaku concluded. (A2 Televizion)
