Socialist Party MP Petro Koçi has stated that with the 'out of the game' of the old MPs of this political force, Parliament will lose a lot.

Koçi made the comments on 'Ditari i Pasdites' with journalist Bruna Çifligu on A2 CNN, where he said that many of the new MPs who will enter Parliament will not be at the right height or equal to the old 'senators'.

He also said he did not know the reason why some new candidates, who are not well-known political figures, received so many votes on the open lists, but added that the current electoral system produces unequal competition, writes A2 CNN.

"The victory is an indisputable merit of the Socialist Party, a proof of a new faith, why not even a plebiscite for this political force. I think that Parliament is first and foremost a political experience. Parliament needs people who know the state well, know the relations of Parliament with state institutions, know the relations of institutions with each other well.

People who have experience in certain areas of the functioning of the state and parliament. I think that the departure of the old ones will really be a minus. I believe that those who have newly entered the Parliament, there will be individuals who will be at the right level, but also those who will not be at the right level.

"There are new figures like Pirro Vëngu who I believe will be of a high standard. There is a lot of experimentation there that could have been avoided. I don't know the concrete reasons why some new candidates were voted for so much, but I can say that because of the system, the race has extraordinary inequality," said Koçi, writes A2 CNN.
