The Chairman of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted to the request of President Bajram Begaj, who has requested from the Constitutional Court a final clarification on the mechanism of the partial renewal of the judiciary, demanding that this process be implemented fairly and in accordance with the Constitution.
The President's letter states that clarifying this aspect is key to avoiding possible violations of the Constitution and ensuring the integrity of the justice system, writes A2 CNN.
Meanwhile, in his reaction, Gazment Bardhi described Begaj's request as an unprecedented act in the name and on behalf of Edi Rama, to seize the Constitutional Court.
Calling Begaj a soldier of Rama, Bardhi further writes that Bardhi's game endangers the legitimacy of the Constitutional Court and calls for his actions to be stopped.
Bardhi's reaction:
The unprecedented act of Bajram Begaj, in the name and on behalf of Edi Rama, to capture 100% of the Constitutional Court, is not only condemnable, but also unacceptable.
The Constitution has clearly granted the judges in office a full 9-year mandate, which cannot be violated under any circumstances after taking office. Violation of mandates means violating the very independence of the Court and the fundamental principles of the rule of law.
With today's act, Bajram Begaj has not surprised anyone for his role as a loyal soldier of Edi Rama, but his courage to go so far as to blow up the Constitution just so that Edi Rama can seize the Constitutional Court 100% is beyond the expectations of even the lowest-ranking soldier.
Strongly condemning today's act by Bajram Begaj, I appeal that this game, which endangers the legitimacy of the Constitutional Court itself, be stopped immediately. (A2 Televizion)
